CIPCRE plans its activities for 2007

A workshop to plan the activities of CIPCRE for 2007 took place in the multi-purpose hall of its headquarters in Bafoussam from 21 to 23 March 2007. All workers of the NGO started by taking a retrospective and critical look at activities undertaken in 2006 come up with blue print of actions to be undertaken in 2007. The National Director of CIPCRE called the attention of all to the fact that the different planning works must be realistic and presented in a professional manner.

For three days, heads of units and cells undertook the task of presenting their activities to their colleagues.  Even National and General Directors revealed the points around which their coordination activities would revolve. Remarks, suggestions and proposals were made to improve the different plans.

It can be retained from the workshop that no cell or operational unit will work in an isolated manner. The unit for the promotion of Citizenship Education and Faith and Social Action Unit, for example, will work hand in hand to organise the Youth Forum in Bafoussam next September. The Unit for the Promotion of Local Development Initiative and the Project for the Fight Against Climate Change and Poverty in the West Province will jointly undertake reforestation and compost production activities.

At the end of that workshop, each unit/cell was asked to integrate the remarks and suggestions made on their respective plans of action. After that, the work was expected to be forwarded to the General Manager for polishing up and submission to the CIPCRE Board of Administrators that was due to sit in April 2007 in Porto Novo, Benin.
